I have a router which is specifically designed for 3G dongles. It has both wireless and ethernet connection. The sat box only has ethernet, but when I connect it, though I get auto IP setup values, I have no connection to the internet.

I have tested the router and I get internet connection with my laptop both when wireless and on ethernet. So the router and 3G dongle appear to be doing the job they are supposed to do.

I have also had the sat box on another router on which it also connected to the internet.

I have a feeling its something to do with the IP values. Anybody with any suggestions.

thanks

Hi All

Have an Acer that a friend has asked me too look at. basically the blue power light is on when plugged in and the battery has fully charged (orange light to blue light) but the laptop will not turn on at all no matter what I try. I,m thinking this could be a mobo problem but would the unit still charge the battery as it did if the mobo was gone
