I'm considering either of these, unless somebody has better suggestions under £500

I want to install xp pro, the toshiba comes with an xp pro bundle, the acer doesn't, are XP drivers easy to find?

Minimum requrements are 15.4 inch screen, 2ghz, 2gbram, with Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor, not for gaming or anything intensive other than using dragon naturally speaking voice recognition sofware in conjunction with Word.

Thanks

Thanks for the link whompus, I'll take a look.

Anyone wth experence of installing xp pro on vista laptops? I've heard it is totally variable according to make and how recent the model is. Ranging from easy to find drivers for some, to almost impossible in other cases.

all depends on the hardware drivers and if there available.... i have done it a few times now without any major issues but sometimes hunting down xp drivers for things like the graphics card can sometimes be a pain.

before you start i would go to the hardware manager and make a list of the models of things like the sound card, graphics card ect before you downgrade this way you will know what to look for when you try it
